EEA delay action

Is the sponsor an EU/EEA or Swiss national ? To what extent is freedom of movement still restricted for same-sex couples in the EU ? Do you have experience of immigration bureaucracy in other European countries ? Please also visit EU/EEA page in the main website

EEA delay action

Post by navquar » Mon Nov 23, 2015 7:38 pm

Hi Everyone,
Just thought to start new thread as I was finding it hard to see the post if any one has taken any action against HO for the delays in EEA applications.
My case was delayed and at the time I was not aware of any process to complain and if I am not wrong no one here knew as I did put this question out and did not have any reply, so recently I find out that HO does have a complaint process and one is suppose to complain with in 3 months of the issue and after that second stage is Health and Parliamentary Ombudsman who have final say in this regard.
September 2015 I complained to the HO and obviously it was rejected due to time delay (Just so you guys know initially I applied for EEA2 on 18 June 2008 which was not decided until March 2010).
Now I have forwarded my case through my MP to the ombudsman and its in process hopefully it will not get rejected but whatever the case is I will let you guys know thought to put this here so it might help anyone.

If they are failing to meet their obligations under EU rules you could try these people:
