These are usually held in the first week of the month on a Tuesday or Thursday evening at the address below:
32-36 Loman St., Southwark, London SE1 0EH
(Nearest tube: Southwark - Jubilee Line)

Check the website for details of the next meeting:
http://www.uklgig.org.uk/resources.htm# ... t_meetings

Our Executive Director and Asylum Support Worker will be available from 5.30 pm on meeting days, for informal discussion of your immediate needs and/or how the meeting can be of most use to you. If you need a referral to a specialist legal aid solicitor, your details will be taken at this time.

These preliminary chats will help us to optimise the structure of the main meeting to suit as many people as possible. PLEASE arrive early to allow plenty of time to assess whether you will benefit from a one to one talk with a solicitor at the end of the meeting. Due to time pressures, the number of individual solicitor sessions will be limited.

The main meeting will run from 6.30 to 8.30 pm

The meeting will usually start with a talk given by two solicitors and/or a barrister, followed by general questions after which there will be an informal group discussion. One-to-one meetings with a solicitor may be possible after this if time allows. Whilst there are likely to be aspects of your own situation which you may not want to talk about in the open meeting, sharing your story will be appreciated by and valuable to others and you will find the meeting very supportive. There will also usually be some translators present.
